Terms of Service
Last updated November 3, 2026
These terms govern your use of findmystorage.ca (the “Service”). By using it you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
What we are
FindMyStorage is a referral marketplace. We are not a storage operator, we do not rent units, and we are not a party to any rental agreement between you and a facility. Facility names, availability, prices, promotions and unit details come from the facilities themselves and can change at any time. Anything we display about counts or pricing ranges is informational, not an offer or quote.
For renters
- The Service is free for renters. You are responsible for the accuracy of the details you provide.
- By submitting a request you consent to us sharing your details with up to three facilities near you, as described in our Privacy Policy.
- Review each facility’s rental agreement, insurance requirements and rules before you sign. Items you store are subject to that agreement, not these terms.
- Do not use the Service to submit false, abusive or someone else’s contact details.
For facility owners
- Owners buy requests (“leads”) using prepaid credits. Prices are shown before you confirm an unlock and may vary with a lead’s age and how many facilities already hold it.
- Credits purchased by card through Stripe are generally non-refundable, except as stated in the rating policy below or as required by law.
- If you rate a lead as bad (for example, invalid contact details), the credits you spent on that lead are returned to your balance. One rating per lead; abuse of the rating system may lead to account suspension.
- You must contact renters only about their storage request, and comply with CASL and other applicable law. Do not resell or share renter details.
Acceptable use
Do not scrape the Service, probe it for vulnerabilities, interfere with its operation, or use it for unlawful purposes. We may suspend access to protect the Service or other users.
Disclaimers and liability
The Service is provided “as is”. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, for the conduct of any facility or renter, or for loss of or damage to stored goods. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under Alberta or Canadian law.
Changes and governing law
We may update these terms; the date above shows the latest version. These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta and the federal laws of Canada applicable there.
